TRUMPF plate shears trim and cut sheetmetal. The length of cut is unlimited. The sheared edge is smooth and burr free. Their portability gives them advantages over stationary shearing machines in a number or areas: TRUMPF plate shears are easily transported to the construction or manufacturing site. Bulky and heavy sheetmetal parts can be fabricated economically without transporting them to the machine.

In addition, TRUMPF shears are characterized by their durability and precision. Double-edged shearing actions provides distortion free trimming, cutting, and notching.

The cutting operation produces a continous piece of scrap beneath the cut path. This is easily removed at any point during the cutting process.

Guiding the machine requires little force. TRUMPF plate shears work their way through the material. Straight line cuts can be made using either a straight edge clamped to the material or the straight guide attachment.

Together with the portable TRUMPF universal cutting table, the P 400 plate shear provides a mobile sheetmetal fabrication center or high capacity. Notches, circles and strips can be made precisely and quickly on site.
