Plug does the work of three plugs in one. Both balls on the 1.500 and 2.000 inch plugs release with the same handle, the lower ball, however, releases before the upper ball. The 3.000 to 8inch sizes have two handles so each ball can be released separately.

Typical Installations

The ball is molded of pure rubber, molded parallel ridges insure perfect seal. Castings are of non-rust aluminum. Handles are of coated steel. All parts are replaceable. Blowouts and water damage are prevented because the Plug allows the system to be drained prior to its removal. The flexible spring bends to any angle to effectively test from any type fitting.

• The "SEALFAST" Low Pressure ( LP ) pipe plugs, featuring the double acting seal ring, are available in sizes ranging from 4.000 to 144.000 inches. These easy to install plugs have been used for isolation of piping systems during testing, repair and maintenance, for bypassing of damaged lines, and for isolation of piping systems during construction. The LP pipe plugs have received wide acceptance in many industrial applications including nuclear and hydro plants, chemical and petrochemical plants, water treatment plants and water and sewer lines.

• The "SEALFAST" Medium Pressure ( MP ) pipe plugs, featuring the double acting seal ring and locking lugs, are available in sizes ranging from 4.000 to 144.000 inches and can withstand pipe pressures up to 250 PSIG. Applications have included testing, repair and maintenance of piping systems, including the by-pass of damaged line sections for continued service. 150 PSIG rated through 36.000 inch.

• The "SEALFAST" High Pressure ( HP ) plugs are available from sizes 0.500 thru 60.000 inch with a maximum pressure rating of 5000 PSIG. Test port allows testing of pipe or tubing through plug.

• The "SEALFAST" Annular Seal is designed to solve the problem of individually testing ( LLRT ) of containment penetrations ( NRC information notice 92-20 ). These seals are of a split design allowing for installation over a pipe and into the sleeve which it passes through. This product seals against the process pipe and sleeve pipe allowing the annular space behind the "seal" to be pressure tested through a port on the "seal".

• The "SEALFAST" Bypass Plug features a flanged connection which allows pumping or draining process fluids from one section of pipe to another. This flanged feature also allows the user to meter the flow of a pipeline from full flow to shut off.

• The "SEALFAST" Square or Irregular plugs are available upon request from sizes 3.000 thru 30.000 feet. These plugs which are built to your size / configurations can be used in doors, tunnels, channels, aqua ducts or any size / shape opening during construction or maintenance outages.

• The "SEALFAST" Remote Installed Mechanical Plug is an ideal tool for remotely plugging nozzles in tanks or RV vessels during maintenance of downstream piping, valves or pumps. The primary benefit of the RIMP is that liquid level in the tank or vessel does not have to be lowered. This plug can be remotely installed with our installation tool from a dry / safe location. This can result in large savings of time during maintenance outages. Additionally, this plug does not require inflation pressure to maintain a seal, it effects its seal mechanically. Redundant backup seals can be provided.

Additional SEALFAST™ Products

• The "SEALFAST" ID Joint Tester and OD Joint Testers ( JT ) are available in sizes from 3.000 to 200.000 inches. The JT is used to temporarily join or couple pipes for a low pressure seal, to test permanent pipe joints at pressures up to 300 PSIG, or to isolate leaks in piping systems. The JT consists of a metal barrel (cylinder ) fitted with SEALFAST double acting seal rings located within recessed channels at each end. When the rings are inflated the annular space between the extended ring becomes a fluid tight chamber, allowing user to check the joint for leakage.

• The "SEALFAST" Fail Safe Mechanical Seal ( FSMS ) is an ideal tool for remotely plugging nozzles in tanks or RV vessels during maintenance of downstream piping, valves or pumps. The primary benefit of FSMS is that liquid level in the tank or vessel does not have to be lowered. This plug can be remotely installed with our installation tool from a dry / safe location. This can result in large savings of time during maintenance outages. Additionally, the FSMS does not require constant inflation pressure to maintain a seal, it effects its seal when deflated.

• The "SEALFAST" Flange Weld Tester is used to test the welded or threaded joint of a newly installed flange without the need to test the complete system. This tool consists of a mating flange and internal inflatable seal that isolates the joint allowing the user to check this joint for leakage.
