| As
a pioneer in hydroforming tubular products, Airmo offers a unique
combination of pressure and control, tooling, press and die configurations
to meet most every need.
This new approach focuses a higher level of precision toward achieving
the required results. Between a science and an art, Airmo engineers
use proven technologies along with new techniques and procedures
to provide solutions for the hard to form parts.
All Airmo hydroforming tooling provides unique capabilities. Various
models are available to either flow material while under pressure,
or simply maintain a seal during the forming process. The forming
heads can be automated with sequenced placement. The heads are precision
manufactured of heat treated stainless steel for a long trouble
free life.
Airmo can supply all or some part of a typical hydroforming system,
consisting of the following major components.
Major components of a hydroforming system:
• Die
• Hydraulic press
• Tube end closure tooling
• Pressure and control source
Airmo capabilities:
• Prototype, blank and final part development programs available
• Partnerships with quality die manufacturers
• Integrates with existing in house presses
• Complete turnkey systems
Hydroforming benefits:
• Fewer items by combining parts, combine into one part what
is traditionally joined with welding or stamping
• Minimized weights as fewer parts are needed
• Lower tooling costs due to fewer parts and elimination of
secondary operations
• Higher quality parts with uniform wall thickness and increased
structural integrity
• Minimized scrap material |
