Tube End Forming System
The Airmo Model 400 end forming system consists of a portable hydraulic power pack complete with all of the valving and circuitry to operate the Airmo hand held end forming tooling. The power pack incorporates a modular hydraulic manifold containing a pressure relief valve, directional control valve, digital pressure switch, and integral filter. This design eliminates many potential leak points associated with standard hydraulic control packages. The hydraulically actuated end forming tools can be hand held or mounted on top of the power pack with the optional tool mounting brackets.

The tooling is designed to produce various shapes such as expansions, reductions, flares, and other forms. The system utilizes hydraulic hoses with quick disconnect couplings for fast tool change over.

The complete system is very easy to operate. Simply connect the desired tool to the hydraulic power source, insert the tube into the tooling, and actuate the electrically operated foot switch. The system cycles automatically, producing a finished form in 3 to 5 seconds.

POWER PACK SPECIFICATIONS:
The Airmo Model 400 Power Pack is a compact, portable hydraulic power source designed to provide power and control to operate the unique Airmo tube end forming tools. All controls, sequencing, etc., needed to properly operate these tools are included, along with 15 feet of high pressure hose and one set of hydraulic quick disconnect couplings. This power source can power any of the Airmo forming tools and size change over is as easy as connecting the two quick disconnect couplings.

Dedicated Tool End Forming System

The size dedicated end form tooling, used in conjunction with the portable hydraulic power pack, provides for a very quick, easy and precise means of forming the ends of tube and pipe. More economical than the modular tooling, this tooling is dedicated to producing a specific form on a specific diameter of tube. This patented, compact and lightweight tooling can be brought to the work-piece to be formed. The tooling is simply placed over the tube and the operator presses the foot switch. The tooling cycles automatically, producing a finished form in 2 to 5 seconds.

Modular Tool End Forming System

The modular tooling is designed to be used with the standard, integrated, portable power pack while offering the user a wide range of versatility. The power pack top mounted tooling modules are available in three sizes to cover tube diameters from 1/8” to 3” OD. By use of individual forming and gripping modules, this system can be configured to your specific applications. The gripping modules have quick-change collet sets to accept different tube diameters. The forming modules can be easily converted to a number of different standard end forms such as expansion, reduction, flare and bead.

• 3 module sizes accommodate tubes from 1/8” to 3” OD
• Rapid operation: 5 seconds or less

• Equipped with an adjustable form length control

An operator can function the system with minimum effort. The operator places the tube into the modular tooling. When the tube is positioned, pressing the foot control pedal initiates a cycle. The tooling grips the tube while reciprocating the forming mandrel. Upon completion, the tooling releases the tube and the system is ready for another cycle.
